Thank you for choosing us for your project. Please review the following terms carefully:
1. Site Access Authorization
- By confirming this agreement, you authorize our team to access your property on the scheduled installation date.
2. Site Readiness
- The work area must be fully cleared of personal belongings, materials, and debris to ensure a safe and efficient installation. Our crews are not responsible for moving or handling any of your personal property. All pets must be secured indoors and kept away from the work area to ensure the safety of both your pets and our crew.
3. Deck Placement Confirmation
- You confirm that the selected deck size fits within your property boundaries and does not extend beyond the house or encroach on neighbouring property.
- A deck ledger must be installed prior to the scheduled installation.
4. Underground Hazards
- You confirm that there are no underground hazards (e.g., irrigation lines, gas lines, or utility runs) in the construction area. If utilities are present, they must be fully exposed by the homeowner prior to installation.
- All utility locates must be submitted as part of your application. We are not liable for damage to any unidentified underground components.
- Homeowners must contact www.clickbeforeyoudig.com and provide proof of completed locates before the installation date. There is no cost to the homeowner for this.
5. Pricing and Cancellations
- Pricing is reviewed monthly and may be subject to adjustments based on market conditions.
- A $500 charge will apply if the site is not ready and installation cannot proceed on the scheduled date.
- Deposits are non-refundable if cancellation occurs within 5 days of the scheduled installation.
- A 50% payment will be automatically charged to your credit card once your deck design is finalized.
- The remaining balance will be billed automatically upon completion of the project.
- By accepting these terms, you authorize us to securely store your credit card information and process these charges accordingly.
6. Weather Delays
- In the event of rain or severe weather, we reserve the right to postpone installation for safety reasons. You will be notified via email with proposed new installation dates for your approval.
7. Warranties
- We offer a 3-month workmanship warranty.
- Manufacturer warranties apply only to composite material options.
8. Scope Exclusions
- Site grading or regrading around the house.
- Window well access or covers.
- Support for hot tubs, cold tubs, or additional structures.
- Lighting installation.
- Additional electrical outlets.
- Utility locates – these are the responsibility of the homeowner.
9. Power Requirements
- Homeowners must provide exterior power access on the day of installation.
10. Material Characteristics
- Natural wood materials may expand, contract, crack, split, or warp over time. This is considered normal and acceptable.
- All lumber will be inspected prior to installation. • Due to natural grade variation, the final stair riser height may vary slightly.
- Any mud and soil that is augured up will not be removed by the One Day Decks crew.
11. Alberta One Call
- The homeowner is responsible for initiating the Alberta One Call process once the deposit is received and all address and site information is submitted.
- We will provide the necessary link and phone number. This is a free service for homeowners.
- Our lead hand will conduct a site visit to assess the area and confirm that it is safe to proceed, ideally in coordination with the homeowner.
